The museum presents the history of the Canadian Pacific Railway in the Columbia Mountains, as well as the role the railway and its workers, have played in building Canada as a nation. A large collection of artifacts, historical photographs, artwork, full-sized rolling stock are displayed, including a steam locomotive and diesel 5500. The museum is a non-profit, charitable organization that benefits greatly from donations and contributions from many organizations, government agencies, and individuals. An Endowment Fund, administered by the Revelstoke Community Foundation, provides an option for memorial and sustainable donations. This museum is a must-visit in Revelstoke, showcasing great historic information about trains and railroad history. It offers interactive exhibits like a train simulator and provides lovely souvenirs. Young and old will find something interesting, with the added bonus of beautiful views and potential train sightings. The Ghost town and Roundhouse are also attractions worth exploring. A restaurant and business sleeping car add to the authentic railroad experience.

Customers had fantastic experiences with Revelstoke Dogsled Adventures, praising the knowledgeable and friendly guides, hands-on interaction with the dogs, and beautiful scenery. All dogs were well-cared for and eager to run. Some tours included additional activities like kennel tours and quad rides when there wasn't enough snow for dog sledding.
