In 1986, Warnaco of Canada Limited presented Walker House to Prescott as a centre for the betterment, education and recreation of Prescott’s older adults. Walker House is in memory of James Cowan Walker, 1920 – 1983. Mr. Walker was born in Regina and lived for several decades in Prescott, where he was founder and president of Hathaway of Canada, President of Warnaco of Canada Limited, and Chairman and CEO of the parent company, Warnaco Inc.
