We have had a long and reputable tradition in the city of Portage la Prairie since our establishment in the early 1920's by Ralph N. Rae. The home became the McMaster Funeral Home in 1950, when George R. McMaster purchased the funeral home from Rae's. In 1973 the Portage Consumers Co-operative purchased the Funeral Home from George R. McMaster. May of 2016 brought change to Omega Funeral Home when Matthew Nichol purchased the Funeral Home from the Portage Consumers Co-operative. The Nichol family are also owners of Wheatland Funeral Service. You are welcome to call us at any time of the day, any day of the week, for immediate assistance.
