Well the first time I picked a fishing rod I was 5yrs old. My dad use to take the whole family down to the lake where we would fish for large mouth bass and crappies. I remember my first casting rod. I was using a big dew worm and float. I remember dad showing me how to hook it all up and then telling me to send out as far as I could so I did. I ended up hooking my first bass I remember it like it was yesterday. As you could well imagine after that I was hooked. During my childhood years I was constantly after my dad to go fishing on the weekends for Pike, Bass and Musky I quickly became an avid fresh water angler. Later on in life I moved to Vancouver Island and quickly fell in love with saltwater sports fishing. I got my first taste of it in Campbell River. I moved to Ucluelet for work the following year and shortly there after found myself guiding. I have spent 15 years fishing the coastal waters of Vancouver Island From Victoria to Sooke, Port Renfrew, Ucluelet, Tofino, Winter Harbor, Port McNeill, Port Hardy and 2 season in the Haida Gwaii formally know as the Queen Charlotte’s. I am true saltwater angler now and have a great deal of passion for what I do. Moving out here to the west coast has changed my life so much and l enjoy having the opportunity to provide the same experience to the people who visit Vancouver Island. Thanks Dad.
