Point Leamington is located on the shore of Southwest Arm which extends southward from Notre Dame Bay on the province's Northeast coast. The Town with a population of approximately 600, is long and narrow and follows the length of the arm hugging the shoreline. Superior Glove Works Limited, one of Canada's largest manufactureer of industrical gloves currently employing approximately 40 people. A number of residents are employed in the woods operations, at local sawmills or in the fishery. Others earn their livelihood by commuting the distance from Point Leamington to Botwood and Grand Falls-Windsor.
