Association President's Comments Jun 30, 2013 For over 35 years Prince Edward Community Care for Seniors has been helping older adults to live independently in their own homes through the provision of a variety of services such as Meals to Home, Escorted Transportation, Social and Education Programs, Home Maintenance, Active Listening, Caregiver Support and Respite Care. Through the efforts of a small but highly professional and committed staff and a very large volunteer base, the agency plays an important role in helping to make The County a desirable place for seniors to live. As well, through its leadership in regional programs such as Home First and Home at Last, Community Care plays a key role in helping the South East Local Health Integration Network achieve its goal of improving the transition for patients from the hospital to the community. The Board of Directors of Prince Edward Community Care for Seniors, of which I am privileged this year to be President/Chair, will continue to focus on the maintenance and further improvement and enhancement of Community Care's programs. We welcome questions, suggestions and additional volunteers both to help the agency with delivery of its programs and to serve as board members.
