For the past 39 years, the Peterborough Social Planning Council has been working to improve the quality of life for all community members in Peterborough City and County. It is our belief that to have a truly healthy community we must remove the barriers to full inclusion and involvement in our society. The Peterborough Social Planning Council began as the Social Planning Committee of the United Way Community Services Organization, the predecessor to the United Way of Peterborough in the late 1960’s.

The Peterborough Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada was formed in 1965. We are one of many local groups across Ontario.#Our Mission: To be a leader in finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life.
