Antoinette’s Bridal Boutique inspiration was Marie Antoinette, the fashionista of Revolutionary France. From her luxurious silks to her sometimes bigger than life hair, she has always fascinated me. The name for the boutique did not arise until I began choosing lines to showcase in the store. One particular day I was looking at a dress and it just hit me, I wanted the store to be reminiscent of Marie Antoinette. I wanted to capture the luxurious sense of style she had, as well as her elegance and grace. So I shaped the colours and the decorations of the store with the mixture of the old high fashion and modest reality.
