Palliative Care is a program of active, compassionate care primarily directed towards improving the quality of life for the dying. It is delivered by an interdisciplinary team that provides sensitive and skilled care to meet the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the client and family. In 1996 the Penticton & District Hospice Society created a vision to raise funds to build a freestanding Hospice House in Penticton. The first resident moved into Hospice House in June 1998. The House was named Moog & Friends Hospice in honour of Andy Moog and the many friends of the Society who endeavoured to make this vision a reality.
