In the course of my career, I was a co-founder of three private practice organizations: the Centre for Healing and Personal Growth, The Sana Centre and Metcalfe Psychotherapy. I was the Director of Social Services at the Sandy Hill Community Health Centre for eleven years, was an Associate Therapist at the Centre for Treatment of Sexual Abuse and Childhood Trauma for seven years and have worked in supportive housing programs at the Canadian Mental Health Association. In community service, I have served on the Board of Directors of the Lifeline Centre for Addicted Survivors of Trauma (President), the Centre for Treatment of Sexual Abuse and Childhood Trauma, and Planned Parenthood Ottawa. I have worked with Carleton University's Counselling Services, the Sexual Assault Support Centre, and the Ottawa Distress Centre.
