The Canadian National Millers Association is a national, not-for-profit industry association representing the Canadian cereal grain milling industry. CNMA member companies are processors of wheat and oats and producers of milled grain products. The CNMA is among Canada’s longest established trade organizations, founded over ninety years ago. CNMA serves as the principal voice for the grain milling industry in consultation with government departments and agencies concerning regulatory issues and public policy. The association is an active participant in industry-government dialogue in the areas of food regulation, nutrition and health, food safety, transportation, international trade, occupational safety and health and environmental protection. The CNMA also provides international trade development support to its members. The CNMA welcomes all commercial export enquiries and undertakes to promptly facilitate communication between its member firms and importers in offshore markets.

The six members of TRANS span all three levels of government. They include the National Capital Commission, the Ministère des Transports du Québec, the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario, Ville de Gatineau, the City of Ottawa, and the Société de transport de l'Outaouais. Funding responsibilities are shared by the six member agencies. The proportion of contributions may vary for some projects. The TRANS Committee mandate extends over the entire National Capital Region and includes three areas of focus: On-going development and operation of a long-term transportation forecasting model The TRANS regional transportation model, housed in an EMME/2-ENIF software shell, is used to reflect existing trip patterns and travel choices, and to simulate the effects of future scenarios featuring varying growth, alternative transportation facilities, services and policies. Collection and management of data for transportation planning Traffic counts, conducted at screenlines across the region, are integrated into a common data set. These counts cover urban and rural roads alike, as well as highways and bicycle paths. Management of transportation studies TRANS has conducted a truck survey and three origin-destination studies among several others. The 2005 Origin-Destination Survey will take place Fall 2005.
