Food for thought, did you know that currently all pets that pass away leave the City of Ottawa to be cremated in Pembroke or Guelph Ontario? (Ye Old Shep has been closed since approx. 2008) Resting Paws was established by a 28 year Military Veteran who understands the value of closure and dignity when tragedy strikes. Therefore, if your pet has saved a human life and the event has been documented we will provide the cremation and burial service at no cost to you once the pet passes away. Your pet will be placed on Heroes Ridge in the Cemetery for all to see. We are proud to be the first pet aftercare provider in Ontario with a Crematory and full service cemetery co-located. This ensures that all pets brought to us remain in Ottawa regardless if they are privately or communally cremated. We employ local people and produce our unique line of personalized urns and memorials. Most of our products have been developed by the Owner. We pride ourselfves as being a green alternative.
