The Youth Services Bureau is a large social services agency serving nearly 3500 unique individuals per month. There are four core programming areas; Employment, Community Services, Mental Health and Youth Justice. YSB Employment Services has been assisting individuals with their employment and career aspirations since 1983. Today we are one of the largest providers of employment services in Eastern Ontario, serving nearly 10, 000 unique individuals annually. Both youth and adults come to our centre for information and assistance in accessing the labour market. In 2010, YSB Employment Services was selected by the provincial government along with eight other agencies across Ottawa to deliver the new employment services model. We are very proud to be a part of this larger network and work daily with our partners to ensure client needs are being met. One of the core activities that makes us successful is our consistent surveying of the labour market. Every quarter we gather labour market intelligence from employers providing us with information on the skill sets and competencies that employers are looking for with regards to current and future job opportunities.
