February 28th, 2013 CVA The Canadian Vintners Association (CVA) was created in 1975 as the Canadian Wine Institute and renamed in 2000 to better reflect the growth of this dynamic industry. The CVA represents over 90% of all wine produced in Canada including 100% Canadian, Vintners Quality Alliance (VQA) wines and International-Canadian Blended (ICB) wine products. The CVA brings together our membership to advocate on public policy initiatives by working cooperatively with governments and other stakeholders to find solutions that benefit both society and the entire Canadian wine industry. The Canadian wine market remains strong, supported by a continuing growth in consumption as Canadians’ beverage of choice. The sales and marketing efforts of Canadian vintners will continue to drive wine sales through all of our trade channels, including estate wineries, provincial and territorial liquor boards, private retail outlets, licensed establishments, and wine agencies. Each year and every vintage will provide an opportunity to launch new products that will contribute to industry growth across all price points in the Canadian wine market.

SalvAide is a Canadian not-for-profit organization with charitable status accompanying the people of El Salvador since 1985 as they build social justice, democracy, and economic development. SalvAide supports solidarity with the people of El Salvador through specific program areas. Our work aims to directly accompany the struggle for social justice in El Salvador and to build Canadian awareness about the Salvadoran reality and Canadian government and business policies that impact upon that reality. All the initiatives we support are community driven, deeply democratic, and strive for gender equity. From cooperative cashew farming to helping to build participatory municipal gender equity guidelines, our partners' work is a model for sustainable democratic development in El Salvador, the only option for a future based on fairness and human rights.

Club Casa de los Abuelos is a non-profit organization created to assist the elderly in the Spanish-speaking community. Our purpose is to redirect local resources designated to benefit the elderly and to offer a safe haven in the City of Ottawa for our parents and grandparents to meet and socialize. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and members alike, Club Casa de los Abuelos fills a void that existed in our community by bringing the elderly out of isolation and helping them enjoy a healthier, more active lifestyle.

The Canadian Council on International Law (CCIL) was established in 1972 in order to promote the co-operative study and analysis of international legal problems by scholars in universities and by professionals in government service and private practice. Incorporated federally as a non-profit organization, the CCIL is an independent, non-partisan entity which relies financially on membership fees paid by its members, as well as donations or grants from individuals, corporations, foundations and governments. Contributions to the Council and membership fees are deductible from taxable income in Canada.
