Lakewoods Public School is proud of its heritage and dedication to providing quality education for its students. The school was built on the shore of Lake Ontario in 1970 for students from kindergarten to grade six and had an addition completed in the 1990's to accommodate students from junior kindergarten to grade eight. Today, Lakewoods works in conjunction with parents to meet the needs of 360 students with 23 teaching staff and additional support through educational assistants, early childhood educators, secretarial and custodial services. We are pleased to have Full Day Kindergarten at our school and welcome about 85 students in our early years’ classes. We offer a daily breakfast club in addition to providing a healthy snack for all students in the school several days of the week.
