A history - Then & now.. The Inn started out as a small farm in the early 1800's it property covered most of the Community Centre directly south of the restaurant. In 1853 the building was expanded and a general store opened to provide services to the thriving area. The General store was active for almost 120 years before closing the doors in the late 1970's, where the property was used only as a residence. In 1984 Carol and Michael Hall purchased the property after touring around the world with their two children. They loved the area and the potential in the property, even reopening the store for 3 years before realizing that a restaurant might be the perfect little business in the quaint hamlet. In 1987 "The Mono Centre General Store" changed to "The Mono Cliffs Inn" and since then people have been finding their to Mono Centre to dine in a relaxed, country atmosphere. Situated in one of the most scenic stretches of the Bruce Trail, next to the Mono Cliffs Provincial Park the Inn has become a mecca for lovers of food and Australian Wines. Inn keeper Carol Hall is always glad to see old friends and welcome new diners to the upstairs and the Magnolia Deck. 
Mono Cliffs Inn is a cozy and beautifully designed place with great food and atmosphere. Several customers highly recommend the burger and desserts. Some visitors enjoyed the lack of cell reception for uninterrupted conversations. The portions are big with amazing quality. The pub is a unique spot with excellent service and great setting for country meals.
