Above Average Lingerie and Fashions carries a wide selection of bras, panties, sleepwear, loungewear, fitness wear, and clothing all in a full range of plus sizes., As plus sized ladies themselves owners/operators/sisters Debbie Dickie and Dawn Blaschuk noticed the lack of really good lingerie in the market place for the full figured woman. After some research with Statistics Canada, which stated 30% of Canadian women over the age of 19 were over the size 14, yet no one catered to the needs of these women. In the spring of 1991, Debbie and Dawn established the retail store Above Average Lingerie. By June 1991 they were up and running offering personal and professional bra fittings. This was very successful and the business grew steadily.
