We are a congregation who is called by God through baptism to be disciples following the way of Christ in our personal and community lives. We will seek to recognize and respond to the presence of the Holy Spirit among us. We are a member of the BC Synod of the ELCIC and are in full communion with the Anglican Church in Canada. As we live out who we are, these are our go Hold that the community gathered in worship around word, sacrament and prayer is central to our life as People of God, and develop worship as a place of hospitality, creativity and nurture for members and for visitors. Reflect the biblical concept of justice and peace - through strengthening our concern, support and caring for others in the community and in the world, and through advocating on justice issues to the church, governments and other organizations. Provide opportunities for spiritual growth for the community, and encourage people to share their spiritual journeys with one another. Encourage members of the parish in the ministry of health and wholeness for themselves and for others. Find ways to foster community so that we can reach out to all people - regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, or family or personal background - and invite, welcome, support and nurture them. Organize and operate Gloria Dei in ways which encourage and empower members to do ministry in word and deed as disciples preaching the good news of the reign of God which embraces all of life. We can however show you where we come from, what we believe and who runs the show. Lynn Valley Full Gospel Church is described as a warm and loving community filled with welcoming members. The church offers programs like Alpha with live music, dinner, and group discussions. The pastors are spirit-filled and the Bible is taught. Many attendees view it as a second home due to the strong sense of community and family-friendly atmosphere.

Our Beginnings Founded upon a vision received from God, a small group of pioneers, out of a home meeting, formed the North Shore Christian Centre. The Inglewood Community Centre, in West Vancouver, became our place of worship for the next three years. By this time approximately 70 people were attending church regularly and it became evident that we needed a place where we could meet together during the week for Bible Study and Prayer. In the summer of 1984, we purchased the actual church property where we are now located. Due to God's increase and blessing, we have expanded our facilities to accommodate our growing needs. Our Mandate We are dedicated to the training of young men and women to fulfill the calling of God in their lives and to reach the lost for Jesus Christ in our generation.
