Dr. Liza K. Austin, BA, BSc, ND Naturopathic Family Physician Dr. Austin has been passionate about naturopathic medicine for 35 years as a patient herself and her family at first, and then as a practitioner for the last 17 years. Austin completed a BA in Humanities (Anthropology and Sociology) at the University of Toronto and a Teaching Certificate from the Toronto Teacher’s College. She began a Science degree at U. of Toronto and, after moving to the west coast of Canada, continued to study sciences at University of Victoria. She completed a BSc in Health Sciences at Bastyr University in Seattle where she also received her Naturopathic Doctorate degree. She has also completed Auricular and Bioenergetic Medicine training through the Institute of Auricular and Bioenergetic Medicine in Toronto. She continues to study at a professional level about biotherapeutic drainage and detoxification. Austin keeps well by nurturing her family, enjoying gardening, yoga, nature walking and cooking. She takes pleasure in collecting locally grown food and she is so very grateful of the generosity of spirit of the local farming and fishing community of Vancouver Island. She is concerned about the unbalanced state of our home planet and she is proactive in trying to make a positive change. Austin is bilingual in English and Greek. She is a licensed member of the College of Naturopathic Medicine of BC (CNPBC), BC Naturopathic Association of (BCNA) and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Association Doctors (CAND).
