Jane & Peter Ellmann bought 10-year-old Chalet Estate Winery in 2008. With years of hospitality, food & beverage savvy betwixt them, the dynamic duo had found their dream. Peter’s homage to Jane, his life’s inspiration, was to rename the winery MUSE. This small self-sustaining 3 acre boutique winery founded by Michael Betts and Linda Plimley has been producing fine limited-release wines since 2001. The winery strictly adheres to the organic practices of using natural ingredients to fertilize the vines and control weeds. Extensive canopy management, hand-cropping and picking ensure only the finest fruit is used in the production of Muse Winery's award-winning wines. Muse Winery use minimal to no sulphites in the making of their wines. Jane & Peter Ellmann are continuing the tradition started by Michael Betts. The winery, now in it's 10th year of operation has expanded considerably, producing not only estate wines, but also procuring and blending exceptional grapes from the most respected wine growers in the Okanagan.
