Guichon says her favorite moment is seeing the tension in visitors melt away as the peace and quiet of the site settles on them. She says at times they seem stressed as they sign in, but when she checks on them shortly after, the stress is gone. Guichon and Aucoin often hear visitors- especially locals- say they had no idea this place was so close to home and will come back often to enjoy the comfort of the cottages and tranquility of the spot. “To us this is our little piece of paradise, that’s how we feel about it, we love it so much, ” says Aucoin.
