Dogs have always been a big part of my life and I grew up with many different breeds. However, I always dreamt of having a Doberman of my own. My first Dobe came into my life in the early 1980's. I became involved in Competitive Obedience in 1988 with my second Doberman, Zach. Over the years, with 5 different Dobes, I achieved many Obedience titles. These included: two OTCH's (Obedience Trial Champion) and multiple HIT's (High in Trial) and Top Obedience Doberman(s) in Canada. I have handled four of my Dobes to their Canadian Championships (Confirmation). In 2002 I started competing in Agility. My most recent two Dobes both have attained their ATChC (Agility Trial Champion of Canada). Kazz achieved his Bronze Award of Merit, and Kelsey has achieved her Silver Award of Merit from the AAC (Agility Association of Canada). Kazz was competing at the Excellent level in CKC Agility and Kelsey is still competing at the Excellent level. I also competed at the Master and Excellent level with a Border Terrier "Cricket" who is owned by a friend. As my love of agility grew my first Border Collie came into my life. She is a little girl named Tees who is enjoying training and trialing in Obedience and Agility. She has also introduced me to the joys of herding. My newest partner is a male Border Collie named Reason. We are training for agility and obedience we have just entered our first agility trials.
