My healing journey started at the age of 17 when I started having hair loss, joint pain, purple fingers and extreme fatigue. After doing some blood work, I was diagnosed with SLE (Lupus) and subsequently put on steroids and NSAID’s. Not knowing any better or questioning the doctors, I took them. And they made me feel worse. The side effects from these harsh drugs were too much to handle and something inside of me told that there had to be another way. Fast forward a few years to when I was in university and I got very sick. My symptoms had worsened and I did not know where to turn to get well. A friend suggested that I see a Naturopath and my journey and love of alternative therapies began. With this Naturopath I was introduced to the magic and power of homeopathy and have not looked back since. I have used this brilliant medicine to successfully treat and heal myself and others. Many of the symptoms no longer exist and the ones that do, are well controlled. Homeopathy has drastically changed my life and has subsequently created an inner longing to share this amazing healing art with others. For me, homeopathy is not only a medicine to facilitate healing for my body, but it has also touched my soul very deeply. It has opened me something much more magical than simply healing the symptoms of Lupus. It has reminded me of who I truly am, and continues to have a profound role in my healing journey. I am Asha Frost, Ojibway, Member of The Chippewas of Nawash First Nation (Neyaashiinigmiing). I am a proud Anishinabwe woman who has reconnected to her roots and teachings of the earth. This journey has asked me to go inwards to remember that I have always been divine and perfect. That all I need to “do” is to be myself. In all of my fullness and magnificence.
