Staff Nicole Lalande Acting as the General Manager, Nicole is responsible for the overall operations of the business as well as day-to-day tasks with your pets. After completing her education as an Animal Care Aid, Nicole went on to spend 5 years as a Veterinarian Assistant before joining the family business. Joanne Makie Joanne has been grooming dogs for over 15 years and has been with Eastway Kennels since the beginning. She is experienced with all dog breeds and is a graduate of the Toronto Pets Beautiful School of Grooming. Her caring and deft touch when grooming ensures that your dog enjoys a positive grooming experience. you don't have to board your pet to take advantage of Joanne's grooming skills. Dennis Brunton Dennis Brunton is the Chief Training Instructor for all canine training programs at Eastway Kennels. He became a professional dog trainer in 1977. He was the Chief Training Instructor for Northwest Kennels in North Vancouver, B., from 1980 to 2000. During this time Dennis developed the ‘Companion Concept Program’. Seasonal Staff Seasonal staff are brought on when needed. They come from varying backgrounds; many are studying animal care. All share a common love of animals.
