Simcoe Gospel Chapel is an independent local church with roots in the Plymouth Brethren Movement. This church exists to reach the lost for Christ and encourage fellow believers in their faith. Simcoe Gospel Chapel can trace its roots to two groups who met, one in Port Dover and one in Simcoe in the 1830’s. They merged in the 1920’s meeting in various locations. They built a facility in 1966, calling it the Simcoe Gospel Chapel, but outgrew those facilities and moved to the current location in 1974. From the beginning, the Chapel has sought to be a place where people can grow in their faith and thrive. We’ve focused on being a community of people who are seeking to love and honour God with their whole lives, and who then take that love into their daily relationships and contexts. We continue to grow and mature as a church, and as we do we are continually excited by what we see God doing in and through our community.
