Founded in 2004 as Phillips & Brown Engineering, the company changed its name to RB Engineering in 2007. David Moss joined as principle in early 2012 and brings a wealth of electrical consulting experience to the company. David was raised in Nanaimo and moved to Vancouver to pursue his Electrical Engineering degree at the University of British Columbia. He remained in Vancouver for 14 years working in the transportation and industrial sectors before returning to Nanaimo in 2009. Les Brown was born and raised in Nanaimo and has twenty years experience in electrical design and project management, including many years working with T.L. Elliot & Associates Ltd (TLE). Les has extensive local knowledge of the engineering and construction industries on Vancouver Island. Our design team has expertise in a wide range of construction projects including LEED Certification. Our goal is to provide clients with exceptional service and solutions for a cost-effective, energy efficient electrical system tailored to every project. The services provided include but are not limited to co-ordination of services with utility companies, facility audits, energy retrofits, and the design of architectural lighting, transportation signals and street lighting, power and communication systems, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and exit signage.
