Les lettres patentes ont été accordées à Québec le 14 juin 1978 et le club de patinage artistique Rivière-des- Prairies a été enregistré le 11 août 1978. Le siège social du CPA Rivière-des-Prairies était alors situé au 12385 Charles Renard, à Montréal. Le premier site internet du club a été mis en ligne pour la saison 2003-2004 par M. Danny Langon. La deuxième version du site a vue le jour pour la saison 2004-2005 et son concepteur était M. Michel Bellavance. Club de patinage artistique pour les garçons et filles à partir de 3 ans offert aussi aux adultes, pour l'apprentissage du patinage.
