Fondée en 1954 la Pâtisserie Bel-Air de Montréal située au 4055 rue Bélair prend son essor sous la direction de André Derrien le nouveau propriétaire et de sa femme Jeannine. Les locaux devenus trop étroits, ils déménagent au 4038 Bélair en 1962. L'entreprise prend de l'ampleur et c'est en 1978 que la Pâtisserie Bel-Air déménage dans sa nouvelle construction sise au 3913 de la rue Bélanger, toujours à Montréal. La Pâtisserie Bel-Air qui desservait surtout au début une clientèle d'immigrants Français et de Québécois, dessert aujourd'hui une clientèle plus cosmopolite. Aujourd'hui avec l'aide de ses fils Pierre et René l'entreprise familiale s'adapte au goût des clients qui sont à la recherche de produit frais et d'une qualité supérieure de ce que l'on peut retrouver au supermarché c'est là que l'on se démarque de la concurrence.
