The Fondation québécoise du sida (Fqsida) was founded in 1997 to support the fight against HIV/AIDS in Quebec. It funds the activities of local organizations who share a similar community-based approach, in order to address the many challenges surrounding the issue of HIV/AIDS in our communities. La limite nord-est du Plateau Mont-Royal est définie par le chemin de fer du Canadien Pacifique. Grand projet piloté par Louis Beaubien, appuyé par le curé Antoine Labelle (P’tit train du nord), cette ligne a été achetée par le CP pour faire partie de sa première ligne transcontinentale. Elle a donné accès au terrain de l’Exposition provinciale au Mile End, avant de susciter l’industrialisation du Plateau et de Rosemont à partir des années 1890: laiteries, usines de pianos, abattoirs, ateliers de locomotives Angus, pour ne mentionner que quelques exemples.
