The Squadron formed in Lahr, Germany in 1969, performing their first Annual Inspection in 1970. As with other Squadrons, 800 started parading female cadets during the 1973-1974 training year. The Squadron had many cadets attend summer camps at Trenton and other Canadian camp locations. 800 celebrated its 24th, and final, Annual Inspection in Germany on June 30th, 1993. The Squadron was disbanded when the base in Lahr was closed. A new Squadron being formed in Mississauga was given permission to 're-activate' the 800 number, and so 800 Black Forest Squadron was reformed on 01 August 1997, celebrating their first Annual Review in Canada in May 1998.
