The Mission Friendship Centre's purpose is to meet the needs of First Nations and Non-First Nations people, who are making a transition to the urban community. To provide a central and suitable facility where counseling information, guidance and referal services will be provided. Our non-profit agency helps thousands of off-reserve Aboriginal people overcome barriers, and walk proudly in their culture. Throughout the year we service Aboriginal, Metis, and Non-Aboriginal people as well, we never turn anyone away.

Fraser House Society was founded on October 13, 1967. Initially Fraser House was an in-patient addiction treatment program for men. In 1987 Fraser House transitioned to a non-residential counselling and prevention service for anyone with concerns around substance use, including youth and adults. Fraser House Society seeks to promote a healthy community by supporting, developing and implementing effective prevention and counselling strategies for the residents of Mission when it comes to substance use, misuse, and addiction. Our programs strive to meet each person where they are, not imposing a particular model or method of treatment or recovery. Client centered and harm reduction approaches are utilized. Fraser House Society believes . . that everyone has personal worth and must be treated with dignity, fairness and compassion that everyone has potential to become a responsible contributing citizen that by partnering in the provision of accessible quality services we can assist in bringing about positive change contributing to a healthier community Fraser House Society operates within the District of Mission and Fraser Valley Regional District; from Hayward Lake in the west, Stave Lake in the north, to Lake Errock in the east, with the Fraser River forming the southern boundary. We serve the residents of the area, including the communities of Silverdale, Stave Lake, Mission, McConnell Creek, Dewdney, Deroche, and Lake Errock. In the summer months, Zajac Ranch for Children provides camps for children and young adults with chronic, life-threatening andor debilitating conditions. These experiences give participants the opportunity to explore the outdoors while developing greater social and environmental awareness, increased self-confidence and positive growth in attitudes towards physical activity. When the medical camps are not in session, the ranch and facilities are available to rent for outdoor school, corporate retreats, teambuilding retreats, or weddings, revenue generated from renting the ranch goes towards the Zajac Camper Allowance.
