Dave Verdonk the owner and operator of Ridgecrest Dairies was born into a dairy farming family and has spent a life time in the dairy industry. In 1986 the family built a small dairy factory on the farm and started processing the milk produced on the farm into a variety of dairy products. By 1993 the demand for our products was more than we could produce on the farm so we built a dairy processing facility off of the farm and have been operating out of our current location since 1994. We specialize in smaller niche market products that are not economically viable for the larger dairy processors to manufacture. One of the first products we made is Panir, a traditional Indian cheese that we manufacture for the Indian restaurants, sweet shops and catering halls in the lower mainland. This product has become a more mainstream product now and we have been searching for our next challenge.
