Antoine Hanachian pratique le karaté depuis 1973. Après avoir expérimenté le style Shuto Ryu, il découvre en 1980, le style de karaté kyokushin pour lequel il se passionne depuis. Tout au long de sa carrière, il s’entraîne avec de grands maîtres et participe à de nombreuses formations. En 1995, il entreprend un voyage au Japon afin de perfectionner son art. Il participe alors un camp de karaté à Mitsumine, accompagné de 75 chefs de branches représentants de différents pays.
