Welcome to Ivy League Montessori where we follow the philosophy, materials and teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori. Our aim is to nurture the development of your child without compromising his or her uniqueness and individuality. The Montessori philosophy will assist your child in achieving a high level of understanding in all aspects of life. Each child is given the opportunity of enjoying the art of learning within the realm of the child's individuality and ability. We follow a set of rules accompanied by the necessary materials required for our programmes, while stressing the importance of adapting the environment based on each child in accordance with the Montessori philosophy. Our Programme includes the following Montessori philosophies: Language: Each child is introduced to the English language along with phonetic sounds, reading and writing with the aid of sandpaper letters. Mathematics: The concept of counting quantities from 1 to 10 is introduced to each child, using sand paper numbers and beads that will assists the child in mastering the counting system. Once the child has understood the concept of counting this ultimately enables each child to add, subtract, divide and multiply with the assistance of the Montessori materials. Practical Life: The day to day activities such as carrying, sweeping, polishing, dusting, buttoning, and lacing are introduced to the child. Mastering the art of each of these activities enhances the child's education and helps in building the child's confidence. Sensorial: Refines the senses and development skills of the child while enhancing the ability to sequence, match and compare, thus sharpening their senses and judgment. Culture: Introduces the child to science, history and geography by affording the ability to analyse their surroundings and environment. Please contact us for a tour of our facilities as we would love to show you around.
