In April 2008 Jeff McKenna decided to leave his 'Geomatics Manager' position with DM Solutions Group in Ottawa, with the goal of starting his own consulting company on the East Coast of Canada. Since my undergraduate thesis examining FOSS4G in 1999, I have been establishing a strong network of consultants specializing in Open Source solutions. Gateway's team of consultants cover the range of skills of application development, spatial database management, spatial data preparation, core development, and design. It is my goal to promote FOSS4G by delivering custom solutions to Gateway's clients, and to spread my passion for Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial.
