OUR MISSION is to provide our patients with thorough, high quality eye care in an environment of respect, compassion and trust. History: East London Optometry was started in 1980 in London, Ontario by Dr. John Astles. The original practice was in a small house at 801 Hamilton Road. In 1996, Dr. Danielle McPhee joined the practice. It was not long after that practice growth created the necessity to move to a much larger facility. Therefore, in 1998, the practice relocated to a building that was specifically designed and built for the practice of optometry, at 999 Hamilton Road. With this move, the growth took off requiring Dr. Margaret Corey to come on board in 1999 and Dr. Jeffrey Drexler in 2001. We were sad to see Dr. Corey leave us in 2006 but were pleased to find an excellent replacement in Dr. Raewyn Leech. Dr. Astles is delighted to still have many patients that have been coming to the office since the early 1980's.
Customers commend East London Optometry for their experienced professionals, up-to-date eye testing equipment, friendly and welcoming staff, thorough assessments, quick and efficient service, and lovely environment. Some customers highlight the importance of a second opinion and share positive experiences with specific optometrists, such as Dr. Allison Binnie and Dr. Leech. Several customers express gratitude for the helpful information provided regarding eye health and prevention of future conditions.
