Le 29 octobre 1985, création du Centre Social des Haïtiens de Laval (CSHL). Le 6 novembre 1997, le Centre Social des Haïtiens de Laval (CHSL) changea sa dénomination pour le Centre Communautaire La Rosée (CCLR). Ce nom porta confusion au Groupe d'Entraide La Rosée, donc CCLR devient, le 19 novembre 1999, CCCL (Centre Communautaire le Coumbite de Laval). Depuis, le centre fonctionne sous ce vocable.
