C’est entre 1947 et 1948 que la première église des Assemblées de la Pentecôte à Laval débuta sous le nom de l’Église de Pentecôte de Labord-à-Plouffe, sur la 76ième avenue à Chomedey. Le Pasteur LeBrocq, qui était pasteur d’une autre église à Montréal, se déplaçait en autobus pour débuter des réunions le soir à Laval. Il était assisté de quelques ouvriers bénévoles qui y ont œuvré. Ces ouvriers furent M. Grondin, Jean l’Escarbeau, Marie-Paule Gagnon, Bernard Sigouin, Jacques Charbonneau, et Alpha Joly.
