Darcy Campbell is the owner/operator of Back in the Saddle Again. Darcy is the true definition of a cowboy complete with a relaxed attitude and big, shiny belt buckle. He has owned the business for over 10 years and has watched it grow from its roots with a herd of about 6 horses to over 40. Not only is Darcy the primary care giver for all the horses, he also guides a lot of the rides himself! You can often find him riding his favourite horse (Ear-Ore) at the front of the rides or hanging back at base camp making sure everyone is entertained with his slew of hilariously terrible jokes. There is usually a group of people waiting with Darcy at the picnic table. These people range from friends that just stopped by, children of friends, customers, children of customers, volunteers, and children of volunteers. You may have begun to sense a theme here. Back in the Saddle revolves around its horses and children. There is rarely a day where there won’t be Darcy’s daughter Brooklyn or a gang of other children hanging around and helping out. We think it’s the horses that might give this effect. You will never find Darcy without his truck, 8 horse trailer and his best friend Bear. While visiting us for your ride you will more than likely be introduced to Bear. He is probably one of the most friendly, well behaved and laid back dogs you will ever meet. He’s truly Darcy’s best friend. Back in the Saddle Again receives praise from customers for their beautiful horses and enjoyable trail rides. The friendly and helpful staff contribute to a memorable experience. Some customers suggest considering entry level courses before trail riding. One customer expressed disappointment with a lack of guidance during their ride and felt the company was not honest regarding the length of their trail. Overall, a positive experience with lovely horses and friendly atmosphere.
