Little Scholars at Okanagan College provides preschool and child care programs for infants and toddlers aged 0-5. The centre is located towards the back of the Okanagan College campus in its own separate building with a fenced outdoor play ground. All programming utilizes the nationally recognized YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum which helps build capacity for lifelong learning by creating quality learning experiences through play. As a charity, the centre is able to offer financial assistance above and beyond government subsidy to families who qualify. This centre is also among a small group of child care facilities across the province selected as a Universal Child Care Prototype Site. Little Scholars at Okanagan College is part of the YMCA of Okanagan, a cause-driven charity dedicated to building healthy individuals and communities.
