Pets and People Visiting Society is looking for volunteers and their pets to help in visiting at over 20 care facilities in the Greater Kelowna area. Together with our pets we provide over 3000 hrs in community volunteer time annually. The benefits of pet therapy in rehabilitative and learning environments have become more and more widely recognized. Pets and People® Visiting Society provides our services to over 20 facilities in the Greater Kelowna area including Kelowna General Hospital, senior care homes and long-term care facilities, for both children and adults with special needs, providing over 3000 hours of pet therapy services every year at no cost.
