Since 1994 the KTFC has been a member of the Pacific Sport Interior Regional Centre and has employed a full-time Head Coach. Our current Head Coach is Jarett McLean who has been with us since 2006. In 2005, the KTFC hired world renowned throws coach, Dr. Anatoly Bondarchuk, whose coaching record is virtually unprecedented. Dr. Bondarchuk has coached 13 athletes to Olympic medals over his illustrious career. The KTFC also enjoys the support of several part-time coaches who contribute to the development of athletes from the junior development program to the senior competitive program. In November of 2003, the City of Kamloops voted through referendum to expand the city's existing sports facilities. The Kamloops Track and Field Club again thanks the City of Kamloops for its dedication and commitment towards not only athletics but the sporting community in general, and for recognizing the value in grassroots sports programs and making them a priority.
