The Lacey Family dug into the Hillier clay-loam soils of their property on Closson Road in 2003 to plant what would now become nine acres. They made their first wines in 2007. The focus is on hand crafted, small production wines from their estate vines. Winemaker Kimball Lacey is sinking in his County roots deeper every year while Liz lacey runs the well-appointed tasting room and retail store. Andrew Gray is the head of marketing and Charles Lacey turned 90 this year and is working the field and promoting the winery. Lacey Estates Winery is a charming small vineyard with excellent wine selections, particularly notable for their Chardonnay and generous tasting portions. The winery offers pre-prepared charcuterie boards and is open later than many nearby vineyards, making it a popular choice for visitors. Many customers praise the friendly owners and the delicious food offerings.
