The PHRI at the General conducts and co-ordinates international clinical trials to improve the health of people in Hamilton and around the world. The 100,000-square-foot Regional Rehabilitation Centre, which opened at the General site in September 2009, has 91 inpatient beds, providing care to stroke, spinal cord injury, amputee, trauma, neurobehavioural and acquired brain injury patients.

McMaster Children's Hospital is a pediatric healthcare facility providing specialized care for children and families come from Hamilton, Halton, Niagara, Brant, Guelph and beyond. Each year MCH has approximatley 180, 000 visits to our subspecialty clinics, diagnostic areas, emergency department, inpatient wards and operating rooms. The 40 pediatric clinics within McMaster Children's Hospital help young patients with asthma, cancer, developmental disorders and virtually any illness. McMaster Children's Hospital is also home to one of the country's busiest Neonatal Intensive Care Units. A number of our outpatient programs and services offered at McMaster Children's Hospital can be found at our Chedoke campus, including Autism services, the Developmental Pediatrics and Rehabilitation Program and the Offord Centre.
