I remember the face of that young man, the life draining from his eyes, and the feeling of utter helplessness that consumed me. I asked myself, what if I could have done something? What if I had the knowledge and the skills to intervene? I realized that my inability to help was not due to a lack of will, but a lack of knowledge. This was a gap I was determined to bridge, not only for myself, but for my community as well. At Life Safe, our mission is not just to teach life-saving skills, but to instill confidence, to foster a sense of responsibility, and to cultivate a community of individuals ready to step up when situations demand.
