Our mission at The Guelph Academy of Dance is to provide dancers with an intimate atmosphere where students flourish under professional instruction . In the past we have been voted gold as Best Dance Studio and in 2011 we were voted Diamond as Best Dance Studio according to the Guelph Tribune and 2012 we were voted gold for Favorite Dance Studio by the readers of the Guelph Mercury. Our director, Briana Lynch, has been repeatedly voted Favorite Dance Teacher in 2010 and 2012 according to the Guelph Mercury. The GYD Company was formed in 2008, by Janet Johnson and Catrina von Radecki as a means of further celebrating, enhancing and training young dancers. Now in our 8th year of the Guelph Youth Company, we have some very strong, talented, ambitious and highly creative dancers who perform together regularly in events such as Hillside Inside (Guelph), DanceOntario Weekend (Toronto), Art Harvest (London), Carousel Dance Centre (Waterloo) and in a variety of locations in Guelph including the Guelph Dance Festival.
