Les Foley Construction provides environmentally friendly steel docks for Muskoka lakes. Les Foley created the company over 30 years ago. He began with building crib docks and barging materials. He quickly decided that there is a better way to build a stronger and more environmentally friendly dock. With this in mind he created his own design and built the first steel dock in 1988. He continued to build steel docks and designed an upper structure that is able to support a variety of boatlifts and be the supporting structure for any boathouse or boat port. He was extremely dedicated to his business and the customers that he met. Since his passing the family members are continuing to uphold his values at Les Foley Construction.

Since our first steel dock in 1992 we have continually improved our structures, often with the input of our clients. Coming to Alberta at age 21 from Switzerland, Philipp completed the 4 year apprentiship at Lakehead College to become an interprovincial licensed carpenter. He took up building and started his own business completing a large range of jobs (residential and commercial). Settling in Muskoka in 1987, he at first repaired numerous crib docks, always with an eye on improving and innovating. In 1992 he built the first steel dock and elminated many drawbacks of the crib docks. Kurt, having been raised in Muskoka, has a great love of the water. Upon completion of his college studies he partnered with a friend to run a wakeboarding school at Deerhurst. Eventually he took an interest in buliding on the water year round and has now 12 years’ experience in building steel structures throughout Muskoka in various conditions. Our crew has been trained in all aspects of building on the water. They work together with our supervisor to complete your project on time and on-budget. They hold the Canadian Welding Bureau Certifications and are commited to deliver the quality workmanship you expect. Over the years we have partnered with long standing suppliers such as Russel Metals, Howell Pipe, Titus Steel and Muskoka Lumber.
