Southfort Walk-in Medical Clinic A little bit about us...Southfort medical clinic is proud to have roots from one of the first Emergency Services in Fort Saskatchewan. In 1974, without any way of transporting patients, Allen and Ian Carter came into contact with Doug Dobson. Doug was the son of a local doctor and purchased the first used 1965 Cadillac ambulance. Together they founded Emergency Services in Fort Saskatchewan. Over the next 5 years they expanded into Vegreville, Redwater, Vilna, Andrew and Radway, providing emergency transport and care. In time, ambulance services were provided by many others, but Doug Dobson and the Carter brothers are remembered as the pioneers of Emergency transport in Fort Saskatchewan.
