Jim Ranahan knows hockey. He’s been playing since he could walk as many times a week as he can fit in. A certified coach in both minor hockey and lacrosse, Jim’s passion is teaching the game he loves to as many people he can. The dream started about 15 years ago when a friend in Barrie built the first outdoor arenas of their kind. Jim was hooked on the idea. "Ballhockey.com has been a tremendous in helping us to get our business started in Centre Wellington, " says Jim. "We built on their knowledge and expertise and created what worked for our area." Four seasons, each consisting of 12 weeks of outdoor play start with Spring in early March to the end of May, Summer – May to August, Fall – September to November and Winter – December to February. 
Centre Wellington Ball Hockey Club is a popular spot for hockey playing in the warmer months. The venue offers ample parking. Some customers enjoy playing pick-up games during winters, despite the club not operating its league then.,
