Whiffletree Farm & Nursery has been owned and operated by brothers Lawrence and Lowell Martin and their families since 2012. They are located just north of Kitchener/Waterloo Ontario near the small town of Elmira. The Martins are members of the Horse and Buggy Mennonite sect. In an effort to maintain a simple, family oriented lifestyle, they intentionally avoid much of what modern technology offers including computers, social media and answering machines. This can and does pose a challenge when communicating with the general public. 
Customers commend the healthy and well-packaged plants, attentive customer service, useful care guides, and reasonable pricing. Some customers have experienced hit-or-miss quality with their trees, but appreciate the friendly and helpful staff. Some express satisfaction with the fast shipping and growth of their plants.
